As of May 2021 (PSA), more than 3.73 million are still unemployed, and millions more are underemployed. Full and decent employment with living wages are better indicators of a solid recovering economy, than investment grade status and credit ratings. Thus, apart from the immediate #10KAyudaNgayonNa economic relief, what Filipinos need now is a COVID-19 recovery plan that centers on the right to work, food, and social services including health, education and housing.
