Women workers face multiple challenges. While women contribute significantly to economic production and the country’s development through their participation in industry, services, and agricultural sectors, many of them face challenges in the world of work.
For women, health and safety in the workplace are of utmost concern. Last November 27, women workers from different companies, workers’ organizations and unions, and across sectors gathered to identify health and safety issues in their workplaces, as well as identify solutions and recommendations to these concerns.
Documenting these lived experiences is critical to inform policies, programs, and possible measures to ensure women’s right to safety and health in the world of work. Center for Women’s Resources in partnership with Women’s Global Network for Reproductive Rights (WGNRR) held an online legislative dialogue. We thank the office of Gabriela Women’s Party and the office of the Committee on Women and Gender Equality for joining.
